Ohio Funeral Directors Association is the professional association for funeral directors in the state of Ohio. This association fosters and perpetuates high ethical standards for funeral service professionals. Members are to honor the stated wishes of the deceased and respect to confidence of every family served.

The National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) - http://www.nfda.org
The National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), founded in 1882, is the largest funeral service organization in the world. It is governed by a nine-member executive board, a policy board made up of representatives from every state, and a house of delegates. The number of delegates is based on the number of members in a state. NFDA's headquarters, staffed by approximately 40 employees, is in Brookfield, Wisconsin. In 1997, NFDA added a government relations office in Washington, DC, to handle legislative and regulatory issues for its members.

Certified Copies of Death Certificates in Ohio

Certified copies of death certificates are ordered through the health department where the death occurred. When ordering these copies, the health department needs to know the name of the deceased, as well as the location and date of death. The following are the addresses and prices of certified copies for health departments in the tri-state:

For deaths that occurred within the City of Cincinnati limits:
$15.00 for per copy.
